The final product has been very successful. Most helmets vent air between the liner and the outer shell, but the OVO design directs air between the liner and the person's head. This brings the cool air in direct contact with the head and successfully cools the skier. Channel inlets below the brim allow pressurized air coming off the user's face to enter into the helmet, drawing the air out through the back and top. The very effective strap system runs around the back of the head to cradle the skull in a yoke, making it possible to tighten the strap evenly around the head. This safety feature interlocks with the removable ear pads. The helmet remains comfortable in varying temperatures.
