Since the outset of this project, snowboarding has become an extremely popular winter sport throughout the world. This project represents one of three snowboard-binding systems designed by Henninge during the last decade. The Torque binding shown here introduced innovative features, along with a style new to the industry in 1992. You can see that the forms thicken where the binding requires more structure and taper in areas where greater flexibility is required. Generations of bindings followed this early example and they still reveal their ancestry. In fact, this product holds a foundational role in the evolution of snowboard bindings.
